Hi, and welcome to our website.
If you love tracts and letterboxing, you've come to the right place.
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
- Romans 10:15 (KJV)
Why Tracts?
Ellen White is quite clear as to what our work is:
Seventh-day Adventists have been given a work of the most solemn import-the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention.
- Ellen White, Testimonies to the Church, vol. 9, p. 19
And how to do it:
Let every Seventh-day Adventist ask himself, "What can I do to proclaim the third angel's message?" Christ came to this world to give this message to His servant to give to the churches. It is to be proclaimed to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. How are we to give it? The distribution of our literature is one means by which the message is to be proclaimed. Let every believer scatter broadcast tracts and leaflets and books containing the message for this time. Colporteurs are needed who will go forth to circulate our publications everywhere.
- Ellen White, The Southern Watchman, January 5, 1904
She also makes it quite clear that we shouldn't shy away from sharing the unvarnished truth:
Unvarnished truth must be spoken, in leaflets and pamphlets, and these must be scattered like the leaves of autumn.
- Ellen White, Testimonies, vol. 9, p. 231
Your Calling?
Do you feel called to plant seeds in letterboxes all throughout New Zealand, but don't know where to get started? We might be able to help.
God is looking for labourers today.
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
- 1 Corinthians 3:6-9 (KJV)
Don't listen to the nay-sayers. Letterboxing is a blessing.
There is joy and satisfaction in the service of God.
- Ellen White, Steps to Christ
And God will entrust you with more.
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
- Luke 16:10 (KJV)
Tracts
Currently we have the following tracts:
We can help you print these, or even finance them.
All our tracts are double-sided A6 in color (a perfect fit for all New Zealand mail boxes).
Some Limitations
When we print tracts, we generally speaking put our own Onwards website details on it (so people can contact us). Before you go letterboxing, please make sure you agree with what's on the website (it's basically just the gospel, signs of the end, second coming, etc). We can also print tracts with custom church details, but this requires a bit more planning.
If you decide to letterbox our tracts, we ask that you please respect the stickers on the mail boxes. For example, our tracts are not junk, but legally they are considered "Junk Mail" because they don't have an address on it. So, if a mail box says "No Junk Mail", you can't post it there. Same for "No Circulars", "No Advertising Material", and "Letters Only", etc.
We normally print tracts by the thousands (cheaper that way), so we can't do "low quantity" runs with custom church details, etc. So, for example, I can give you 20 tracts from our generic stockpile (that's fine), but I can't print 20 tracts with different details, because our printer company has a minimum quantity of 250 at about $100. That's just not cost effective for us.
We don't design tracts for other people. Sorry.
